Orange Sky are on a mission to positively connect communities and support people experiencing homelessness and hardship through clean laundry, warm showers and genuine conversation.

We’re proud to continue our partnership with the charity’s Darwin service for a third year with a $90,000 donation from The Lott by Tatts NT unclaimed prize money.

These funds not only provide safe spaces and real connection for those who need it most, but they also keep Orange Sky’s van, Betsy, on the road—so she can deliver vital services to the community.

In the past year, our partnership helped provide 379 loads of fresh laundry, 412 warm showers and 514 hours of meaningful moments across 96 volunteer shifts.

Orange Sky Co-Founder and CEO Lucas Patchett said the funds will allow them to expand their community impact and truly make a difference.

“Right now, many Australians are finding it harder than ever to get by, with many going without basic necessities like clean laundry and access to a safe, warm shower. Orange Sky has never been busier and it’s coming from people from all walks of life; people who never thought they would be in the position of needing support,”

“This generous donation helps us continue showing up for our friends in the community and expand our services so more people in need can access what everyone deserves – safety, respect and essential services.”

Our Partnerships Manager Liz McPherson added: “We’re proud to champion Orange Sky as they make a real difference, not just by offering free laundry and warm showers, but with the hours of non-judgemental conversations they provide.”
