Did you know that September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month?

The Childhood Cancer Association has been around since 1982 supporting kids with cancer and their families by providing counselling, accommodation and education as well as ongoing care through bereavement or survivorship services.

We’re proud to this week announce a $50,000 donation from The Lott by SA Lotteries to the association, taking our total contribution over the past four years to $250,000.

“The eye-opening statistic that every week a child in South Australia is diagnosed with cancer is hard to believe, but the association is able to be on hand to help in part thanks to our continued donation, which is quite humbling,” our Partnerships Manager Liz McPherson said.

Childhood Cancer Association Chief Executive Cath O’Loughlin said donations are essential as the association doesn't receive government funding.

“For more than 40 years, we have relied on the generous support of the community to continue to do the work that we do,” she said.

“We are so grateful to The Lott by SA Lotteries for their partnership and commitment to supporting children with cancer, and their families.”
